Don't be afraid to live the single life!

It has been said that in order for someone to love you, you have to love yourself. But if you were to meet yourself would You like You. Answer this question honestly. If the answer is no, figure out why. Date yourself, know yourself, make a commitment to yourself before making room for someone else.

If you are a person who must be in a relationship and cannot stand to be alone; you may need to evaluate this. Being single allows you to understand your wants and needs. It allows you to be selfish and only be concern with self-preservation. I know these things sound selfish but knowing who you are allows you to maintain your identity when you are in a committed relationship.

So don't be afraid to be single. Embrace the single life. Being in a relationship can and will compromise who you are, and if you are not ready to compromise than do not force your heart into something your mind cannot handle.

  1. Oh MY God, my thoughts exactly. I find myself in this predicament now. I truly believe you must spend time with yourself to know yourself BUT I also believe if that special someone comes around...don't pass it up because they could be your soul mate. I truly believe that everything is in Divine Order.

  3. I agree...You first have to know and love yourself before your can love another. While you should embrace your singleness....don't get so blinded that you can't see your future with someone!!! Love will always bring challenges... its how you react to the challenges that gauges whether its love or lust !!! Not to say that you can't be Lustfully in Love!!

  4. Now here is the trick... we have to promote this to young women/men when they need to hear it the most. Being taught to love yourself has to start at a young age. The way you treat others reflects the way you feel about yourself. If you treat others like crap then more than likely inside you feel the same way.
